If you want good service tip at the end of the cruise give the room service a tip if you wish, you would not tip in a restaurant on land before you had your meal ? so why do it on a ship.

No, please don't. Tip the person a dollar or two when they bring anything from room service and then do like the rest of us...settle you tips at the end of the cruise.... Neil.

You are joking, aren't you? You will see from the current discussion that thwe vast majority of people are against any tipping at all! It is a complete anachronism which will gradually die out on alol but USA owned ships over the next ten years.

Why tip for service you have not yet received? Smacks off your my servant for the week & I'm your master!

I find the tipping abit of a chore so i let them take the money out for us, you have a choice if you want to use there tipping system. so i always go for that.

Would you telephone a restaurant, book a table, then say 'oh by the way, I'd like to tip you before I have my meal. Don't think so!
