BLYTH - Answered a Question by healey (18 Jul 08 14:08)

Sample prices: Stone Therapy massage, $193 (75 mins); Swedish Massage, $128 (50 mins); Couples massage, $260 (50 mins); facial, $120 (50 mins), plus tip. The spa facility is operated by Steiner, whose staff will try to hard-sell you Elemis products. Some (basic) exercise classes are free, but the good ones (examples: yoga, personal training) cost extra. Do these prices help you ?

As a humble male I always think the spa prices are ridiculous but they were offering on certain days a kind of multi-pack offer, sauna, facial, head massage, foot and ankle massage, aromatherapy something or other for $120, which seemed a bit more reasonable although I didn't draw it to the attention of my better half...... This may have been because they were struggling for custom (I don't know) so may not be repeated but it would be worth watching for if you like that sort of thing.

I actually won a mini facial on board the Independence. I liked it so much I went back for full deep cleansing facial. Wonderful. The staff are very well trained and I wasn't presssured into buying their products. No it wasn't cheap but neither is it at home in a good beauty salon. My consultant was Chloe, ask for her she really knows her stuff!
