Q:I have booked a Grand Suite for my husband and I and a Junior suite for my kids (they are 28 and 25) for a Med trip in Sept. What is the situation re allowing them in once or twice into the Conceirge lounge with us? We have not cruised with RCL but it seems that their rules are very fixed and draconian. I fully understand the company's drinks policy but I have read that entry to the lounge may be at the crews discretion. Am I also correct that there is a separate lounge for Diamond status passengers?
Having cruised mainly with Cunard and being Platinum members, we are used to the drinks being allowed on board etc and a lot of flexibility when we attend the loyality members functions. Many thanks for all input and suggestions which I hope will follow. |

Think of it the other way around if it was Cunard ,would you like someone bringing in there friends/family for the odd occasion...I have a feeling you will find RCI very different to Cunard..Good Luck

Diamond Members do have different lounge to the Concierge Lounge, it varies from ship to ship and can vary from cruise to cruise depending on the amount of Diamonds onboard. As for allowing others in who are not members, no chance. As for the loyalty functions, they are the same as every other line, free drinks, a dance band and the usual 'Welcome Back' from the Captain...........Wilba

So you think two adults (or as you put it 'kids') should be allowed to enjoy these extra facilities which are not covered by the grade of suite they have?
I think I'll see if I can get my two mates in CL too. They have booked an inside but surely 'once or twice' will be okay won't it? Why shouldn't we all get what we don't pay for?
Draconian? Yeah right.
