Isn't it cheaper to return the hirecar for the week you are cruising? Barcelona is like every big city where longterm parking is expensive. Have you looked at the airport costs.

We are flying from Heathrow next month and booked the Renaissance hotel (right on the perimeter of the airport) double room and two weeks parking for 83 pounds through simply-hotels.co.uk....so they may be worth a try...I don't remember if they had family rooms though.

Try www.holidayextras.co.uk they usually have good deals for hotels with parking. I think that the Novotel and the Crowne Plaza hotels situated on the Heathrow perimeter offer quad rooms and parking. The shuttle bus to the terminals picks up at both hotels.

I think you mean parking at Heathrow and not at Barcelona if this is correct I would try Crown Plaza or Holiday Inn mainly because they have rooms to sleep 4 and the price is per room per night and not per person.

Dean Michaelides's blog

I recently read an article from a former cruise ship employee. He was explaining that having sex, taking drugs and making friends in the onboard sex dungeon was a regular occurrence on board one Caribbean cruise liner. Despite having sex with the clients being a sackable offence the staff would have no qualms getting involved. He also mentioned that the riskier the better so as well as having sex in the staff decks they would like to push the boundaries on the unpopulated decks. It wasn’...

Piraeus Athens Gateway Or ...

By Camilla Edwards

Camilla Edwards's blog

Continuing my look at European ports this week I thought I`d choose Piraeus, the port for the Greek capital Athens.Athens is probably most famous for the Acropolis, topped by the Parthenon Temple, and the National Museum. It is a bustling, busy city with lots to do and a place I have visited several times. It has lots of really good hotels, restaurants and bars as well as its history. Many cruise ships now visit Athens using Piraeus as the anchor port. The port sits about 7 miles from the city...
