Our first cruise we made our own flights as well. we docked at 6:30 and our flight was to leave at 11 am. we were a little nervous. There was a special service for people with flights before noon to disembark first on our boat, so we did that...we were at the airport by 9 am. depending upon what city, (because of traffic and how far away the port is from the airport) just sign up for early disembark and you should be ok. We ended up waiting at the airport for awhile bored.

We have never been on a ship that either docks when it says it will, or starts 1st disembarkation when it says it will. When you find out what your disembarkation time is, if it is not 1st off time, go to the desk & talk nicely to the person to try & get an earlier one. It does work!
