If and when you have (like ourselves) completed 10 cruises with RCCL you become a Diamond Member of the Crown & Anchor Society - their loyalty reward scheme. On your next (11th) cruise with them (from which we returned from the "Liberty" last month) you are issued with a seperate door-card which enables you access to the Diamond Club Lounge on deck 14 aft - currently only available on "Freedom" class ships. Here, between 5 and 8pm every evening you can indulge yourself (within reason) to FREE alchoholic beverages of whatever you fancy, served at your table by very enthusiastic waiters. Unlike one or two other couples, we felt it fitting to give the head waiter a good tip on the last evening in appreciation of the welcoming service we received from himself and his two assistants.

No, RCI do not do all inclusive drinks packages, It is possible to buy a soda package at $6.90 per person, per day and is applicable to the total days of the cruise vacation. A 15% gratuity is additional. There is also a wine/dine package where you can preorder wine. Details of selection and prices on RCI websit.

RCL do do a wine package from 7 to 14 nighst depending on the length of cruise, we always buy it on the first night of the cruise, and then you dont have to wait for the wine list at dinner, and the wine waiter will have your wine chilled/or corked ready for you each evening, If you use your card up before the end of the cruise you just buy off the wine list, and the wine waiter will tell you whne you have used up your allocation, whcih we always do. Go for it try the 7night one for a try. The oother package is the soft drink card, which is paritulcary useful in the hot weather, it allows you cold drinks from thje bars and in the resturants and by the pool. We usually buy one and use it for the two of us, as you will get a sticker put on your cabin card , when you purchase it . Then you show it and get your drink. it is also useful in the resturant if ou feel like a soft drink instead of wine at times. The free drinks in the Diamond club are for members osf the Concierg Club and we have now sailed sixteen tims and it is a reward for cruising with them. We are off on Freedom in January and they hae a coneirge on deck 10 and a diamond on deck 14. It is a great benefite as you can also get the same beneifts if you are a captains member on Celebrity. The other benefits are speedy check in and lounges, disemebaration rooms with brakdfast and also priortiy tenders at tendering ports, also the conceirge club manager will book all your trips and seats for the ice shows on the the larger ships. At least RCL.CL give their regualr passengers some extras which make you feel special. The also have a sererate function for Diamond Members which sometimes is an eveing cocktail party or even a lunch withe the senior cruise officers and of course the wine is free!!
