To see if others are going from UK [yes there will be] it is best to sign up for your roll call and get chatting with other cruisers. As for dining times it is best to stick to what you are used to at home - we alwasy have 2nd as that means you are not rushed to get back from shore, have time for a drink before dinner, and less chance of children in the dining room. I have been on deck 10 for both my Explorer cruises so far. Love the location. Suggest you read all the reviews posted for this ship to get a good feel for her.

Is River Cruising Accessible?

By Hannah Wilson

Top of my river cruising bucket list has to be the Mekong, gliding through Vietnam and Cambodia – one day I hope! You would think that river cruising would be perfect for people with limited mobility, smaller ships with less passengers on, only three decks etc, but is river cruising really ideal for wheelchair an...

Ive had a great time!...

It seems to me these days that people spend so much time moaning and whingeing about this and that, nothing works like it should and nothing is ever good enough, I thought it nice to share the thoughts of this refreshingly positive chap recently stranded on the NCL Star out in Australia.Francis Lahue and his wife were passengers of the Norwegian Star as it faced engine problems last Friday morning after leaving port. The luxury cruise ship was forced to bob without direction 30km off the coas...

Ships Collide !

By Richard Smith

Richard Smith's blog

Watch this video on YouTube.I was shocked earlier this week to read a story of the new Seabourn Encore ship colliding with another ship.It turns out that the collision was minor and thankfully no-one was hurt but what left me wondering was how something like this could happen in the first place. The new ship was docked in Timaru, New Zealand at the time and was actually delayed in departure due to the strong winds there. The ship ended up breaking it’s moorings due to the strong winds an...
