We have cruised with Princess three times now and other lines before. Our first was Miami to San Francisco transiting the Panama Canal on the Regal Princess. Small ship bur first class service throughout. I think she is no longer on the fleet, shame that. Second was on the Baltic cruise, absolutely amazing, non stop wow factor if a little exhausting. This year we went on the Alaska cruise in June from Vancouver to Whittier with the Wilderness Lodge add-on, how we ever going top that I don't know. Absolutely mind blowingly fabulous!!! We have nothing but praise for the efficiency, and professionalism of all areas of the Princess experience. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for the staff. Don't be British about things that may not be right, be like the Americans and straight away ask for what ever is wrong to be fixed, politeness and a smile is all you need, has worked for us everytime. Princess may not be the cheapest line but we think it is good value for money. Regarding your email query, we must agree that replies do take a little time if you contact Southampton, perhaps they priorities PO from there. Try emailing Miami, the home of Princess.

Or popping into Dukes Keep or Richmond House and rattle their cage there. ...Neil.

Lovely ship- we were on Sea Princess but we found service to be poor- had to wait an awfully long time for a drink or food- not that staff didnt work hard- I think it was there wasnt enough of them for the amount of passengers they had. Service in restaurant was also slow- probably because of the same reason. The food was nice though when you did eventually get served but the buffet is like a cattle market. Entertainment was poor,(apart from clasical musicians who play in the atrium) staterooms ok, public areas very nice. Was a bit of a mixed bag for us, but then again it depends on peoples' personal experience.

We have sailed on the Sun and Sea Princess and are soon to sale on the Coral. The service was first class on both occasions. The crew were fantastic without exception - couldn't do enough for you. The food was first class - that is why we are sailing Princess again (if it ain't broke - - -).

We're platinum members now with Princess. We won't sail with anyone else. We're very happy with our holidays with Princess and choose to stick to a cruise line we know and we're happy with. No cruise line caters for all tastes. You've just got to take the plunge based on what you've heard and read and take it from there.

We have travelled three times with Princess on Sun, Coral, Emerald and are due to travel on Sea next year. If we were not completely happy with our experience so far we would not have spent hard earned cash (quite a lot of it too!) on repeating the experience. I am too scared to try anyone else in case I am disappointed!!

Is River Cruising Accessible?

By Hannah Wilson

Quite simply, River Cruising is my passion, my favourite type of cruise. i have been lucky enough to do five river cruises to date and the next one can’t come soon enough. Top of my river cruising bucket list has to be the Mekong, gliding through Vietnam and Cambodia – one day I hope! You would think that river cruising would be perfect for people with limited mobility, smaller ships with less passengers on, only three decks etc, but is river cruising really ideal for wheelchair an...

Ive had a great time!...

By Sam Smith

Sam Smith's blog

It seems to me these days that people spend so much time moaning and whingeing about this and that, nothing works like it should and nothing is ever good enough, I thought it nice to share the thoughts of this refreshingly positive chap recently stranded on the NCL Star out in Australia.Francis Lahue and his wife were passengers of the Norwegian Star as it faced engine problems last Friday morning after leaving port. The luxury cruise ship was forced to bob without direction 30km off the coas...

Japan Week

By Robin Clarke

Robin Clarke's blog

So this week marks the Japan week promoting various different cruise lines that are incorporating a stay and cruise, with new 2018 itineraries now in place. So why is Japan a top destination in 2017 – Here’s what my colleague Holly had to say.“Japan had proved to be a top destination for 2017 and is already in demand for 2018 so why is this the case? After visiting Japan myself in 2016 and also with Joanna Lumley’s Japan airing on ITV in September 2016 it really is of n...
