If they have they've certainly kept it quiet! I'm sure It would be 'picked up' & posted on this site at the earliest opportunity.....Wilba.

A better question would be : "Will P & O ever sort out their increasing number of problems?". ... Neil.

Adding to the comments of the 2 Professors of Cruising, also have a look at an earlier post From Asher, Warrington 19th Jan 2009, Beginning I have two cabins booked for P&O Ventura for Christmas 2009 the post is actually about changing from the Ventura. It may be beneficial to read, the comment from Paul Knowles who copied the response from P &O to his letter from raising concerns following the Christmas New Year Cruise, please read the whole comment for full details. However, in summary, and not verbatim P & O response states very sorry you (Mr K) heard uncomplimentary remarks re Ventura, true there were a number of incidents, but exception, not the norm, sadly element of society intent on spoiling for others, do have security staff on patrol, unfortunately, they cannot be everywhere at all times. P & O try to insist on acceptable standards of conduct on board, ultimately cannot be responsible for apparent and unforeseeable antisocial behaviour of some. Appreciate your concerns, wish to assure you, opinions you read/heard recently representative of minority, P & O regularly received great number of complementary remarks for Ventura. This may help you in deciding if the problems have been resolved.

Blast, note to self for future reference, when writing comments forget legal dictionary and omit spell checker as the professor may be reading, monitoring and wondering!....Thank you .

Thank you, now I feel I must be very honest, my response was in jest to Neil’s earlier comment. I do use a spell checker, I write in good old Office Word, followed by a nifty cut and paste, as my spelling is dreadful, however, I do not use a legal dictionary. Further I find it irritating when writing, with reviews, you can use paragraphs, but not in answers, consequently ...... to break continuous text, so hopefully it's easier on the eye of the reader.

Seems it's not just Ventura that's got a problem! Read the review P&O Nightmare on Oceana 25th Jan. P&O need a proper security team (bouncers) as per RCI/Celebrity/Carnival if they are going to quell this behaviour. Sending a letter to a single individual is nothing more than 'company speak, twaddle'. Until P&O announce a positive plan of action, published for the cruising world to regain confidence from, then they deserve all poor feedback & criticisms they are getting.......Wilba.

Ships Collide !

By Richard Smith

Richard Smith's blog

Watch this video on YouTube.I was shocked earlier this week to read a story of the new Seabourn Encore ship colliding with another ship.It turns out that the collision was minor and thankfully no-one was hurt but what left me wondering was how something like this could happen in the first place. The new ship was docked in Timaru, New Zealand at the time and was actually delayed in departure due to the strong winds there. The ship ended up breaking it’s moorings due to the strong winds an...

Balconies in the Arctic Wou...

By Ben Allsopp

Ben Allsopp's blog

Quite recently with the launch of some very exciting itineraries, I have had a lot of bookings for the Northern Lights and Arctic voyages of late and every customer has asked me for a Balcony. I feel this is because these cruises are for the destination and the clientele tends to be very well travelled. As people cruise more and more, by the third of fourth time- They tend to go for a balcony cabin and it is very hard to go back down to an ocean view or an inside from there. But the point I am ...
