Sounds as though the Ventura cruise over Christmas and New Year would have been just what you are looking for, I look forward to reading the newspaper headlines in February.

Who kicked your bucket , Di . Sounds like you think im a lager drinking trouble causing yob , which i am totally not. Every comment which as been put on here didnt personally attack me , unlike ur comment , i love the passion shown by people on this website who stand up and say how they feel regardless if someone is wrong or right , but none of them have made a unfair personal comment . soooo keep your views to yourself. Thank u .

Wilba - Answered a Question by knowles (12 Jan 09 18:18)

So why should people not moan about space, entertainment, sun loungers, food & service. The very reason most of us started cruising was because we pay for & expect a certain standard. When those standards drop it's up to the paying punter to voice their opinion, as these sites are closely monitored by the big cruise companies. P&O have already changed their marketing strategy on their new, yet to be launched sister ship to Ventura. That comes as a result of the comments on sites such as this. The very idea of a review is to give a positive & negative warts & all account of their experiences, not some flowery pumped up, lets not rock the boat blurb. No ones trying to scare anyone, but forewarned is forearmed........Wilba.

Did say u had freedom of speech , just a lot of people moaning bout little things, that dont really matter. Want my trip to be perfect but i know it wont be as life aint like that its just a matter of getting on with it without putting everyone ona downer, let me guess you have been on plenty of cruises and shop at marks and sparks!!!!!

Knowles making stupid remarks will get you no where. You can get a lot of help on sites such as this from people who are more up to speed with P&O than myself, but with your attitude you will do yourself no favours.....Wilba.

Now now don't you start on our Wilba now ! We can all rely on him to make appropriate, objective comments which demonstrate the breadth of his experience.I have always found his input extremely useful & I am sure I am not alone in this. I do however hope you enjoy your cruise as it seems you are determined to do so. I too am determined to enjoy Ventura when I sail on her!

Glasshalf full i would say, im not usually like this but have been on this website for few months and have had enough of wingers. if you look at the reviews the people who are travelling for the first time and are of a certain age say that it was great it just seems that certain age groups tend to moan more, just my point of view. Thank u for answering back to my comment think thats what it is here for. Paul.

The problem is those that have never cruised before (as you state above - say is was great) have got nothing at all to compare it with. Those that do cruise regularly unfortunately have seen a drop in standards and a decline in behaviour of fellow passengers.

Do understand that , my parents have cruised before and say it is declining , Money Money Money isnt it , for the firm that is , as for decline of behaviour think cruises years ago were for more a certain clientelle , now everyone as figured out its cheaper to cruise than spend less to get there but more when u get there, if u get what i mean . Didnt mean to be argumentative with anyone just want the best . paul.

Thats exactly it! Suggest you look at the Question four places under yours about the Radio Prog today. But your cruise will be what you make it, so enjoy whatever.

MSC offers a new school along ...

By Adrian Partridge

MSC Cruises, they just get better and better in my opinion. Last month I wrote about getting on a ship and helping the Caribbean by going there and spending some money. MSC have done a lot more than that with their latest offer of a school for the children.Along with the government of the British Virgin Islands MSC have dedicated a new, building that will serve as a school in Virgin Gorda. All 15 schools were destroyed in the British Virgin Islands during the recent hurricanes, the new pre-fa...

What really happens below deck...

By Collette Apak

When I go on a cruise I am always blown away by the amazing service I receive & how incredibly hard the staff work. They are working extremely long hours (up to 100 a week is not unheard of), but always have a smile on their faces and are turned out impeccably. Our lovely hard-working waiters on Splendour of the SeasSo what happens when they do get a little downtime? One thing is for sure there are lots of opportunities to party below the passenger decks in the crew bar. It’s always ...

Yes that’s me !!!You may of read on one of my recent blogs I have booked to take my family to London for the Winter wonderland and its this weekend we go.The advise I would give to anyone visiting a city would be to get organised before they go, well that is everyone but myself.
