Hi I would like to advise on your emails question if I may. I have travelled on Oriana, a super ship, and email can be difficult. The sattelite is the main problem if there are many users its slow and you will soon hear the grumbles if its really slow. If you have a laptop, wireless is available if you register and you can pay as you go or buy £10 lots also with wireless if the terminals are busy you can nip next door into the crows nest and use it there. There is coffee and danish always available in the e lounge and a further point if you buy a cheap phone off the web it will plug into your laptop and you can then phone home at a low cost using your laptop/wireless system. My tip use the emails off peak ie: after a show or very early morning/late night. Have a great trip Acapulco is something else go to the far side hotels/beaches. Ray Peel.

I found Princess (sister cruise line to P & O) will rent out snorkelling equipment. However, when we were in the Caribbean, we found some places rented them out on the islands. For example; St. Thomas we went to Coco Bay and for $5-10 dollars (can't remember exactly) we rented the snorkelling equipment. However, now we take our own. It's relatively cheap to buy (we paid about £10 on the internet through e-bay - new stuff!). It's easy to pack in your cases and works out more economical too. At least, on future trips you won't have to think about renting again! As for emails, I think it is pay-as-you-go, so depending on how long you spend on the internet, depends on how expensive it is. On Princess you can buy packages, which work out cheaper. Hope this helps.

We sent emails from Ventura in October and it wasn't too expensive at all....we took the pay as you go option but there were special deals as well i.e. free five minutes if you took voucher out of daily news. We probably sent two or three at a time for around £3 - £4....but I was a secretary so can type pretty fast!!! It is not difficult... but there was always a member of staff to help if you needed it..

We have always taken our own equipment. My husband has a prescription mask so he needs to take that. You will find that some excursions will state that they will supply equipment. A snorkel mask and tube are not heavy so perhaps it's better to take your own. As someone has said if you register on the P&O Community site you can let your family know your account details. Then you can put a report on the Community site which they can access. When on board in the Cyb@ Cafe you will see that you can log onto the P&O site without charge. Hope this helps.
