I am afraid that like so many things in life, if you were to embark on this cruise undercapitalised you could be heading for trouble as there are always unexpected things to pay for or that can occur. There are many ways to obtain the money but nothing I could advise you about without knowing a lot more about you. My real suggestion is a negative one ....wait until you can afford it, then you can get the full enjoyment from it and not worry at all. .......Neil.
I have treated this question as a serious one, I just hope this is the case. .....Neil.
Thank you Neil for your lovely answer, i was expecting somebody to put something not very nice. I am a young lady, i have a small company and really needs to get away for the sake of my mind. Yes maybe i will just have to wait. Is there anything else you would like to know Neil. Thanks once again .
It is still difficult in today’s financial climate to say to anyone that they should borrow money to do something like this even though there are some real bargains going out there. The only suggestions I have are that you will find it cheaper if you can find a compatible travelling companion but you still have to find the wherewithal. If you are a business women then you are probably spending more time working for yourself than you would for anyone else but if you are able to get extra employment you would at least have the satisfaction of really earning that break and there are certainly jobs going over the Christmas period which would give you extra income ….but at a price. I wish you well in your endeavours but I still come back to you getting as much enjoyment as you are able to from your current business and setting the cruise as a target for later. Best wishes. ……Neil.
Thank you Neil for your help, maybe i wil meet a rich man only joking! I will give you an update as to how i am getting on with my quest. Thanks again, i always look forward to reading your answers to the many questions on this site. Take Care.
We have a small business also. Booked on a cruise in September. Would also like yo go on another one earlier in the year. Hope we still have the money to do the september one. Will watch this space with great interest.
No.1. Stowaway. No.2 Get a job on Oceana. No.3 DONT BORROW ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. No. 4.Save up!
A Holiday? What is that? Anywhere away from the daily grind. We went on a cruise 3 years ago. We are trying to get enough money together to go on another one. We managed a short break to Amsterdam on P and O ferries. Last year. We loved it. Gave us a little feel back of what cruising is about. I do hope you are successful in your quest. We are hopefully (credit crunch permitting) going to book a cruise next year. Fingers crossed.
If you are able to go at short notice and are not particular about which cabin or destination there are some really good last minute deals around just now. Might be an idea to save as hard as you can -could relatives give you money for Christmas instead of presents? - and then go for a last minute deal. perhaps you should alos consider alternative ships to Oceana to as you might get a better deal. Good luck!
You could always find someone to share a cabin...single supplement adds a bit on to the price, but if your willing to share might bring the cost down.
