Varies from company to company but often they do, we have seen several barmen and one bar manger on various ships so not always the case. They have a revue depends on the feedback from the passengers and some who get good reviews might get placed on the better/newer ships and those with a bad review might not be taken on, or are taken back on the same ship and given a warning to improve.
