Hello. I have just come back from a cruise onboard Oceana. There is no supplement to eat in the Ligurine restaurant as it is covered in the cost of the cruise and the food onboard is excellent. Other eating options onboard that are also included in the price include The Plaza (which also includes a childrens tea), Horizon Grill and Cafe Jardin as well as complimentary room service. However in the evening, there is a supplement to eat in the Plaza Bistro and Horizon Grill which costs around £7 per person. As for the Rugby World Cup, I’m not sure if they will be showing it onboard.

There is no supplement to eat in the Ligurian but you have to queue for a table and you don't always get the same company or table. There are times when there will be massive queues to get in. In the Main restaurant you would be allocated the same table and companions every evening at a reserved table so there is less hassle. I would think that the Rugby World Cup will be shown on T.V. as P. & O. try to cater for all sporting enthusiasts. P. & O. have never let us down and we have been sailing with them for 12 years and a total of 34 cruises. If you need further confirmation ring 0845 355 3055. We are going on Oceana in September to the Canaries......Elsie Richardso.

You don't pay any supplement to eat in the Ligurian restaurant. On Oceana there are two main choices of dining. One is Traditional dining where you eat at the same table with the same companions each evening. When you book if you choose Traditional dining you will be asked if you want early 6.30p.m. or late 8.30p.m. You will also be asked what size table you would like. The other option on Oceana is Freedom Dining which means you can eat at a time which suits you, therefore not with the same people each evening. This happens in the Ligurian restaurant. You just go down to the restaurant and get a table. If it is an extra busy time you may have to wait a while and if so you will be given a pager so you can go and have a drink while you wait. Both these choices of dining are included in your price. The quality of the food is, in my opinion great. Other options in the evening are the Cafe Jardin - also included in the price - which offers Italian style pizzas etc. Then there is the buffet, also included. Then there are the Select Dining options for which you do pay a supplement. The Horizon offers outside dining overlooking the pool - fantastic steaks and seafood. Also part of the buffet is turned into the Plaza Bistro with more Mediterranean type cooking. You pay something like £7.95 per person for this. It's great to book the Horizon Grill on the Tropical evening and have a table overlooking the band playing. Book early if you want to do this. As far as the Rugby goes I couldn't say for certain but I would think there is a good chance your husband would be able to see it. I live very near you so if there's anything else you want to know about Oceana do ask.

A mini cruise to remember..

By Ruby Perkins

I’ve just come back form a cheeky three night mini cruise with the girls so I thought I would give you a sneaky peak at some of our best bits.We were a large party of twelve with a mixture of friends, some who had met through www.CRUISE.co.uk. Some of us are still here but others had moved on to pastures new, so it’s always nice to catch up with everybody to see what people have been up to and what’s new in their lives. Not everybody knew each other which was also nice as we all...

On 5th May I was lucky enough to go on Princess Cruises ‘Royal Princess’ for 2 nights. We sailed from Dublin to Greenock (Glasgow) with a stop in Belfast also. More on the ship in my next blog……On 4th May my colleague Nicola & I flew out to Dublin so we could spend 1 night in Dublin before we went on the cruise ship. We stayed at The Jury’s Inn, Parnell Street which is a great location to be central as only round the corner from the main street O’Co...
