Eavesway operate a service from Glasgow for all P&O sailings, However if you should wish to fly to Heathrow they have a service which operates from there as well. Please see, www.eaveswaytravel.com or ring 01942 727985. Hope this will help.. Steve Eavesway Driver.

If this is any help, National Express run a coach from Heathrow coach station (near terminal 2) to Southampton coach station, then 5 to 10 minutes in taxi to docks. times prices etc on their webpage .

Hello there - I don't know if this will be of any help to you as you make your travelling plans but I wonder if you are aware of the direct train service from Edinburgh/Glasgow to Southampton from where you can easily get a taxi for the 5 minute ride to the cruise terminal. However, should you decide to go via London then yes, the train for Southampton does go from Waterloo. Another option is flying - I have met several people from Scotland who have flown directly to Southampton and then on to the terminal by taxi. I'm afraid I don't know if there is a direct flight Aberdeen/Southampton bit it's worth looking into. I think I am right in saying that Eavesway coaches only operate from the North but don't know if this includes Scotland. Enjoy your cruise. Regards - Janet .

What Jane failed to show/mention

By Kerry James

I have been watching this series of Cruising with Jane McDonald (Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 5), and thought that when she was on MSC and Viking she did show more of the ship to the watcher/cruiser which I did think was lacking in the first series.I was surprised MSC had them back on as in the first series she didnt really show of the MSC Divina but was pleased to see that she was showing the newest ship in the fleet – MSC Meraviglia (at the moment until the MSC Seaside and MSC Seav...

Ciao I am Sailing

As you read this I will have started my own holiday – and yes you have guessed it I am off on a cruise…Firstly I will be spending 3 nights in the Mestre area of Venice to explore this beautiful city which I must admit to having never been to before (other than landing at the airport for a transfer to Trieste in April) I am looking forward to strolling around the beautiful streets, stopping for an ice-cream or a coffee in a lovely square and also to exploring the waterways of Veni...

Ryanair are a joke!

By Neil Holmes

Neil Holmes's blog

Well you have read the news. Ryanair are planning to cancel 40-50 flights a day…..yes A DAY because they have messed up their pilots holiday rota’s!!! I thought Michael O’Leary’s hair brained idea of ‘low cost standing room only on his flights’ was nonsense but I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard this news. Firstly are all their pilots taking holiday in Sept-Oct ? Is there a cheap deal we don’t know about and all the staff at Ryanair are...
