Yes you will join the club at the Ruby level. This means that when you next book a cruise (not one you already have booked) you will receive a Portunus 5% discount. From now on (including your next cruise) you will also receive 5% discount on anything you spend onboard - including excursions (not in the casino though, and I think there's one other exception). When you get your statement at the end of the cruise they will take your 5% discount off. Then as you cruise more you eventually go up to Sapphire level and then Gold. Hope this helps.

The Portunus 5% discount on cruise bookings, only applies to dedicated Portunus Club cruises, as detailed in the P&O brochures, and as you will find out in the Portunus Club pack that P&O will be sending you. However the Onboard discount of 5% for the Ruby tier members applies to all P&O cruises, with some exceptions, like the Casino, Art Auction purchases, but again your pack details will explain it in more detail.
