Hi Quinn from manchester We r also booked on the artemis 27/12/08 and we have also been wondering if we have made a mistake by booking it. We have just returned from a caribbean cruise with Sea Princess Feb 2008 and had a fantastic time. We are also late 40's ealy 50's so dont worry there will be at least 4 of us under the age of 65.

Pipe - Answered a Question by Quinn (23 Mar 08 14:15)

Yes, well, I'm not really sure what reviews have been on offer but when my wife and I had a cruise on the Artemis last Summer (and will be on another THIS Summer), we didn't hear of any such negative reviews. We are both in our early fifties (I was 51) and we shared a table with two ladies in their forties. On the next table were a couple in their twenties and they didn't seem to mind the ages of their fellow passengers! Look, just forget about the ageism thing; everyone on board Artemis enjoys themselves and age has nothing at all to do with it. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Norway and I know my wife feels exactly the same way. Miind you, we did notice that some of those 'oldies' are a bit sneaky because a number of them are a darn sight fitter than us!!

We went on the Grand Caribbean cruise in March/April this year for 5 weeks. On the whole we enjoyed the lovely ports of call, and the ship was friendly. BUT the standards have certainly plummeted as the food wasn't very good at all and as for the evening entertainment, well, forget it. We are in our late 50's and young at heart. We also sailed on the Sea Princess and much preferred it. But I hope you have a great time.

Emma Davis's blog

A few years ago i was lucky enough to take a voyage with Hurtigruten onboard the Finnmarken. After being a little apprehensive about the trip it actually turned out to be one of the most wonderful and magical trips i have ever taken. it was just something completely different o my normal ‘holiday’ , the scenery, the excursions, the food onboard everything was just fantastic and I will always absolutley rave on about how fantastic a voyage with Hurtigruten is , and even more so if ...
