According to Bill's answer below, you you will not be getting a refund to your bank account it will only be as onboard credit. So it seems that P&O are in a win win game, as you have to spend your onboard credit, or whatever is left after they take any off at the end of your cruise on your bill, they will keep. Naughty P&O.

from P&O "We have now established a formula for providing a refund of the fuel supplement. The formula defines when a fuel supplement will apply to each departure date and it required that each departure date is evaluated independently. For 2008 and 2009 departures, if the price of light sweet crude oil according to the NYMET is $70 per barrel or less at the 2.30 pm close of business ( as reported by Reuters) on each of the 25 consecutive trading days ending five trading days prior to the guest's cruise departure date, the fuel supplement will be refunded in the form of a shipboard credit. Since the fuel supplement amount varies over time, the refund amount will reflect the actual amount that each guest was charged at the time of booking, for the fuel supplement." ....Bill

Brent Crude has been rising steadily and at the last count was $66.72 so don't count your chickens.

Hi Mrs Mac, well Mr Newman is corract but the trigger figure is $70 and that have not been exceeded so there is a strong possibility you do stand to get a refund, but I am not P&O but reading the statement they issued there is a check every after every 25 days and your holiday is 5th August so seems you could see the benefit but as the old saying goes don't count your chickens until you see what credit is in your seapass account. We were on a cruise in April and never paid any fuel supplement it came in well after we booked but we still got $120 credit !!! The next cruise in September we did pay the supplement so we are still hopeful. We have an invite to the naming ceremony of Equinox at the end of the month but no supplement as it is compliments of Royal Caribbean/Celebrity !!!best wishes....Bill

I am sure you will mac, but it would have been nice if they had paid it into your bank account, as, as I said earlier P&O win both ways, so be sure to spend it all and ejoy doing so. Have a great cruise........Wendy
