You get an additional on board credit by booking on board. You can then transfer the booking to a TA of your choice and thus get the TA price. Its a win-win....Brian

Some cruise lines offer an incentive such as on board credit or paying a nominal deposit without stipulating which cruise you wish to go on - the deposit can be used within a specified period (might be two years - not sure). We did this on one occasion, but I don't thing we got a better deal than we would have through a UK cruise agent. Most of the UK agents pass some of the discount they get from the cruise line on to their customers. I suppose it is just a matter of doing your research.

Once again we have a question with too little information. If you mean a future cruise booking then yes, you can get a deal but whether it will be better than you will get ashore with an agent is doubtful. With the RCI group you can get your own agents deal alongside the booking you made onboard but I don't think P & O apply this althoug I am open to correction here.....If you mean booking a hair appointment, an excursion, a wine package the answer is possibly but unlikely. .... Sorry, yes I do mean a future cruise booking; I'm going on Ventura in the summer and wondered if it made sense to book our next cruise while on board and what sort of benefits I might get if I did that vs book with my travel agent again.

Yes Neil & Ida - If you book a future cruise while onboard a P&O ship you can pass on the deal on to your TA to take advantage of his additional discount. Sometimes you may get a little more OBC when making your booking onboard. It is usually a dollybird with a laptop so making the actual booking can be a little frustrating!
