Aurora is my favourite ship of all of the P&O ships. I have travelled on all of them with the exception of Artemis. All ships creak to a certain extent, if noise does bother you, do as I do and take ear plugs (worth doing on any ship these days). Its a lovely ship and I am sure you will have a great time.

Why not go to boards dot cruisecritic dot com and click on the link for P&O to see what people say about it???

We travelled on Aurora in the passed. its true that all ships have some type of noise. the first cabin we had B186 had a joining door. u could hear next door making tea/coffee, washing , chatting, it was the worst cabin . also we must have been under one of the swimming pools, so we could hear the water sloshing above are heads ! so ear plugs were needed every night. having said we loved the ship and are plaining another world sector trip on her on the new year. the best ship for us so far for no noise from rooms has been the QM2 which we traveled on in march this year from southampton to miam.

As usual I believe that it depends on which Cabin you have. My Husband & I sailed on the Aurora last November to the Canaries and did not have a problem with noise at all. Best cabins are Midship.we are off to the Carribean with P&O for Christmas & New Year.

We have just returned from a 16 night cruise on Aurora. Overall we thought Aurora was the best P & O ship we have travelled on with good food, friendly staff and the ship immaculate. We had force 7 winds in the Bay of Biscay and yes there was a bit of creaking in the cabin but nothing that was a problem. Surely this will happen on any ship which is pitching or rolling. We would certainly cruise on Aurora again.
