Well that depends on the cabin grade & time of year. If you click the Ocean Village ad on this very page they are offering weeks OV inc flights for as little as £699.

I travelled last year from Gatwick on OV at the end of January for £720 each for the fortnight, booking it at the beginning of December so 716 isnt really that great for the week unless you have a specific requirement for a window or balcony there are lots of better offers to be had use OV's own website for the best deals and leave it as late as possible to book.

Oh wow, my friend and i paid in march 06 for a week in the caribbean with ov over £800 in total for k deck 10 i/s so the prices certainly have come down. just a pity ov are ceasing to trade after end of 09 - had we got this information prior to mid nov, then we would of booked our final cruise on ov instead of not knowing and thinking well we will do the greek islands in 210 for our birthdays - we went for a cheap week in mallorca = not the same but ov keep doing the same old med ports and ov2 is not quite as nice. sadly we will loose out unless some extremely cheap offers arise in sept or oct.

I have travelled 3 times on OV1 and the same 2 weeks (end January Caribbean) in 05 we paid £1250 each, 06 we paid £860 each and this Jan 08 we paid £720, on our first cruise we received some very good advice to wait until the price bottoms out for the cruise you want I find with OV this is 6/8 weeks before the cruises departure date but you have to be quick and check availability on a daily basis but believe me savings can be made for the £720 each we had a KK mid ship inside cabin B176 to be exact pretty good value I would say ! Good Luck.

Silversea was not meant to be!

By Barbara Hopley

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises. We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.I had been looking forward to seeing this ship as have never seen a Silversea ship, it had been booked for a few weeks and I made my arrangements at home ...

A Port guide to Le Havre

By Trevor Smith

Trevor Smith's blog

I’ve done a couple of cruises now that visit Le Havre but on both occasions, I chose to stay on the ship and enjoy the facilities there. Next time I think I will get off and explore, weather permitting. Here is what I missed and what you could do when visiting this lovely French Town.A Taste Of Normandy Unlike the rest of France Normandy is blanketed in apple orchards instead of vineyards. For centuries these apples have been used to make a bubbly fermented cider and distilling that cid...

Her Majesty and I have more in...

By Hannah Wilson

Hannah Wilson's blog

I love smaller ships, I don’t need a choice of 14 restaurants, multiple bars and lounges, rock climbing walls and ice-skating rinks, if anything it is too much choice and I find you end up flitting from bar to bar all evening, not settling in one place. Give me a Fred Olsen ship with one bar, one lounge and one theatre and I have all I need thank you very much.A couple of years ago I had the chance to visit the Hebridean Princess, the little ship that has been chartered by her Majesty f...
