Woods - Answered a Question by Altan (25 Oct 08 16:09)

If it's anything like the Greek Islands, Turkey, Croatia and Cyprus cruise we went on in August kids were running riot everywhere!! We are not against children, having had 2 boys of our own but there was no supervision whatsoever and we were all calling it Butlins on Sea!! A great shame as it spoilt an otherwise excellent cruise!!!!

My teenagers are neither uncontrolled nor chavs, but here's hoping we don't have the misfortune of ending up on the same cruise as Gear or Howard, you sound thoroughly awful people. If you never want to encounter young people why don't you take yourselves off on a Fred Olsen ship .

Hi i hope you enjoyed your holiday as much as we did!our son was, as usual well behaved, and despite the 160+teenagers on the cruise we found ourselves safe from robbers, drug users, fighting stabbing etc., the only problem we heard about was the incident when security were called to deal with some unruly adults who placed themselves in the clearly signposted childrens' seating area of the marquee, even though requested by senior members of staff to move, refused!we wondered if their names were howard!! Takes all sorts i suppose! Sorry we never met up with you!hope your sons had a ball!

howard - Answered a Question by Altan (11 Feb 09 12:34)

No parent would admit their children is uncontrollable, a chav or both. they always believe their children is a little angle which is not always the case, i mean look at buckley of letterkenny "he was 14 and we never saw him from the first day!"!!!!!!!!!, does he know where they are or what they are doing? NO!!!!!!!!. does he care what they are doing? NO!!!!!!!!!. does they care that there childrens behaviour wIll disturb and ruin others holiday? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. what do they care? THEY HAVE ENOUGH BEER/WINE TO THEMSELF AND THEY ARE NOT HASSLE BY THEIR OWN CHILDREN!!!!!!!!. who is the awful people now? guess we will have to ask others on the ship!!!!!!!!. you might not wanting to end up on the same cruise as me but let me tell you something. THERE ARE LOT MORE PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF DONT WANT YOU, YOUR CHILDREN OR MR BUCKLEY IN OUR CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. i am not against teenager, i dont think anyone is, but i strongly feels that parents should do more to control them!!!!. look at britain today. its full of teenage problems, fighting, stabing, robbing, drugs etc. why? thats because too many parents like you and mr buckley think your child is a "lovely child, love by everyone, totally under control, wouldnt hurt a fly, a perfect son any parents would want", COME ON dont they realise thats just a dream. wake up .

Ports of Call or Sea Days?

By Lee Johnson

After booking a passenger yesterday on a 24 night Caribbean cruise from Southampton return it got me thinking about the different itineraries, some that are port intensive and some that have lots of Sea days, as this one did.Having taken my first Cruise back in 2002 on board the QE2 transatlantic to New York I fell in love with the cruise experience during those sea days. There was always something going on, be that Ballroom dancing or learning the tango (I didn’t do any of this for th...

Adonia back with P&O

By Gemma Coles

Gemma Coles's blog

It doesn’t seem that long ago when we said goodbye to the P&O Adonia. P&O Adonia left the fleet in 2015 with much sadness to lots of passengers. The ship went to Fathom Cruises which is a line dedicated to volunteer tourism. Guests were taken to locations such as the Dominican Republic to help teach English or build water filtration systems to help with poorer countries. Carnival Group have now announced that after an upgrade to the ship, with the addition of a new rest...
