The other consideration on the 'older' ships, is they suffer some vibration on the lower rear decks, another reason for going 'midship' OV1 is no exception.

We are lucky we are good sailors so it doesn't matter but the rule of thumb is to go midships, it also means less walking distance to most areas on the ship. The other thought is not to go to high but if you are going for a cabin with a balcony then you are a bit restricted to a high cabin but on Ocean Village, but on Ocean Village 2 there is quite a range of you want to go for 5,6,7 rather than those higher up.
