Hunt -('Aplmac') - Answered a Question by shaw (09 May 08 01:35)

In my OV2,Jan.08 experience, the breakfast juices were cut off long before 11 a.m.! -More like about 8:30. Are soft drinks(fizzy?) included? you asked... the answer is generally No, although we pinched one without knowing it was to be paid for...no-one noticed..we weren't charged..I'm sure the company is bankrupt, now! If/when you buy soft drinks, get the CANS. Out on deck they bring you a PINT of wishy-washy machine-made Coke/whatever and it just doesn't taste the same, not to mention...what are you going to do with A PINT of that belly-wash?? Otherwise OV2 is a very nice ship, not "Posh"(who needs it) just dress nicely for dinner, long trousers for the gents, the girls dress nicely anyway, and you'll be alright. We loved OV2 and are booked to go again.

Drinks are extra at meals (waiters take orders at the tables) - but we found the pre paid soft drinks card good value for money - especially if you are travelling with children.

Fruit juices at breakfast are included free of charge. Soft drinks like coke and lemonade are charged at all times. Kids have the opportunity to buy their own drinks container (I think it was £12 on Ocean Village 2) and then get 15 drinks included. Tea and coffee are free all the time. Alocohol prices are reasonable.

Soda cards for kids and teenagers are available to buy I think you pay for 15 drinks but get 20 , but adults can use it too, near the end of our stay when kids had only 1 or 2 left waiters were very good at forgetting to mark off the drink on the card so we got more than 5 fre.

AS per the previous answer , however this only applies to the buffet restaurants. If you go to La Luna or the Bistro then tea coffee and bottled water are chargable.

Outside breakfast time, you have to pay for all soft drinks, the cost of which are very high, as are alcoholic drinks. We went with 2 teenage boys and had to keep a careful eye on their spending.
