There is a viewing platform on OV2 on deck but Bradley is right is right to call it a 'strip' as it is just that - very small and standing room only.

I went on the ship some years ago when it was Crown Princess and you could certainly get outside from the end of the corridor on deck 10 which gets you 2 decks immediately below the bridge. I've had a look at the deck plan for OV2 and it shows a strip of decking in that location so unless they have locked the doors then the answer is yes.

There is a viewing platform, but on each occassion that we tried to use it the door was locked and we were not able to find anyone who was able to allow us access, this didnt put us off, so much else to do.

Two nights on Indy..

By Alison Ranaldi

Alison Ranaldi's blog

Last week I spent two nights on the newly revamped Independence of the Seas.We sailed from Southampton in glorious sunshine to Le Havre and back. This was my third time on board this ever-popular ship and I was keen to see the changes to her after a big refit. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 which had everything we needed for a comfortable break. I’m not generally a fan of mini-cruises. They offer an excellent way for someone like myself to see the ships but I do not think they are a g...
