Matt - Answered a Question by Sheldrick (02 Apr 08 14:39)

You shouldn't have any problems making friends. We've been cruising with our son from an early age. Share dining tables/lounge tables with other cruisers and your grandaughter can join the kids clubs. We have made many friends over the years. Enjo.

McClymont - Answered a Question by Sheldrick (09 Aug 08 14:18)

I only found this website yesterday and I'm trawling through it having read everything on xxxxxxxxxx. We are looking to do mostly our own trips as well. Reading all the info on xxxxxxx we have decided to book with Cosol tours for his day trip round St Lucia. Everyone seems to rave about this trip, the amount you see and the value for money. We will book it on the internet before we go and he then meets you off the ship with his minibus. I hope there will be other children for your granddaughter to play with. I expected there to be some under 5's but thought with the schools being so strict now there wouldn't be any school-age children. We always took ours out of school but luckily they weren't so strict then because we could never have afforded the holidays we had with them in school holiday time. I expect the Mcleans will be flying from Gatwick like us. How many years is pearl? Sounds a lot, congratulations anyway. Wendy and Dave.

We are actually older than you so you need to look for the old couple but you should be easier to spot as there are three of you and we will certainly look out for you in the bar/s. Wendyand Dave.

Mysterious Myth or Superstitio...

By Alana Mills

Ahoy there!Sailors over the years have had many superstitions that they believed in. It is no wonder if you think about it as they navigated around the world with no satellites or ship to shore in-case of an emergency. Also, bear in mind as going to sea is one of the worlds oldest occupations, the time these myths were established, it is only natural that where inexplicable events have occurred, superstition and myth have played a major role in providing reasons for their occurrence. So here ...

My first Transatlantic.

By Steve Fuller

Steve Fuller's blog

I’ve just returned from my first transatlantic cruise. I’ve always wanted to sail into the U.S.A and fly home. To say I’ve been and seen my friends across the pond without flying. I have to say i did really enjoy it. I very much liked the ship. There were a couple of hiccups and if I’m honest I probably wouldn’t do a transatlantic again but I’ve ticked it off. Thais why you have a bucket list to do what you want to do and tick it off the list.It had been 10...

Naples a great port to visit

By Shirley McCue

Shirley McCue's blog

I remember my experience of returning to Naples as a cruise passenger with fond memories. Most passengers were eager to scramble into coaches that would whisk them away to see the fascinating ruins of Pompeii or drive down to the winding roads of the Amalfi coast on their journey to Sorrento. This was not my plan as I wanted my family to experience some of my childhood memories. Naples is a large city steeped in history with lots of hidden treasures, some a little too far to venture to ...
