Are you doing the repositioning cruise? transatlantic if so weather in caribbean Hot. Hot and last year ok on all the 6 sea days until we reach the azores, then you could see the weather change and we did have some choppy days at sea,but was quite mild in maderia.

Pike - Answered a Question by duncan (02 Jan 08 16:38)

Wimpy English tourist in St Lucia and Tobago in April, found it could be delightfully hot during the day, cooler and pleasant overnight, comfortable for sleeping. April on Grand Bahama (sometimes farthest northern point for "caribbean" cruising), days warm to hot, some evenings surprisingly cool, something lightweight but warm and snuggly much appreciated some nights! Also, make sure you have good sun protection! One bad thing about April - it can be USA's Spring Break -peaceful beach resort in Tobago was infested with Spring Break brats for a week, drunk until all hours, screaming, fighting etc. Very intrusive - only about 15 of them in total, but enough noise and disruption for hundreds. Beware - some of them cruise too - although Spring Breakers in Grand Bahama last year were much better behaved ... I. Pike, not yet cruised but dreaming ..

As you read this I will have started my own holiday – and yes you have guessed it I am off on a cruise…Firstly I will be spending 3 nights in the Mestre area of Venice to explore this beautiful city which I must admit to having never been to before (other than landing at the airport for a transfer to Trieste in April) I am looking forward to strolling around the beautiful streets, stopping for an ice-cream or a coffee in a lovely square and also to exploring the waterways of Veni...

Ryanair are a joke!

By Neil Holmes

Neil Holmes's blog

Well you have read the news. Ryanair are planning to cancel 40-50 flights a day…..yes A DAY because they have messed up their pilots holiday rota’s!!! I thought Michael O’Leary’s hair brained idea of ‘low cost standing room only on his flights’ was nonsense but I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard this news. Firstly are all their pilots taking holiday in Sept-Oct ? Is there a cheap deal we don’t know about and all the staff at Ryanair are...
