Sounds like you are first time cruisers. After your flight lands, as normal collect your luggage and find the ocean village reps who will direct you to the coaches which will take you to the ship. You check in, you will be given your cruise cards etc. Your luggage will appear outside your cabin some time later during the day. You could either explore the ship or go ashore to explore Palma. Just remember to be on the ship before it sets sail around 7PM. You will soon get into the swing of things. Enjoy your cruise!

Ida & Neil Down - Answered a Question by ROBERTS (18 Sep 07 19:53)

I think the others are right and you will probably board soon after arriving and sail at 19-00hrs anything else would be unusual to say the least. Try ringing P&O at Southampton they're only up the road from you and get a good answer. If we're right you can go back ashore have a look at the beautiful Cathedral there and wind your way through the back streets to one of the cloistered squares and people watch whilst enjoying a coffee and cognac for a very reasonable price.....Ida Dow.

You will be transported by coach directly to the dock after you land at Palma and Im sure you will be on board before Noon. If you decide to get off the ship and look around Palma it is very pretty but there will be lots going on around the ship. Take the time to look around and this will help you to find your way later because sometimes it take a few days to settle in. Have a good cruise we have just come back from the Med it was wonderful.

MUSICAS PORTS OF CALL.

By Nicola Milligan

Last time I told you all about the ship so this week we will talk about the reason we actually chose this cruise, it’s itinerary. I have been to Venice a few times now but the sail away never loses it’s excitement for me. When standing on deck I still get goose bumps as this massive ship glides slowly past all the major sights of this charming city. So close you can see into windows and see the faces of the lovers sailing on the romantic Gondola rides. It is unbelievable at how c...

If you have to travel a long distance to get to the embarkation ...

How Fred Olsen compares

By Charlene Thackeray

Charlene Thackeray's blog

We are recently back from our first Fred Olsen cruise.Whilst this is the smallest ship we have been on as a family there were lots of great things and a few not so great things for us. We knew there would not be much for Charlie on board however he had a great time with all his new friends from the Entertainments team. I can honestly say the entertainment team were really friendly and put on some great shows. I loved how the stage rose in the Neptune lounge making it a great area for lots of ...
