We've been on th ocean village 3 times shows always good especially the outdoor show. Some trips are better than others but swimming with the sting rays the turtle and dolphins were great experiences even for the over 55s. A trip to the rainforest is also well worthwhile.

We went on OV2 during August and had a really great time. We found the shows, and the entertainment generally, to be excellent. We also tried out several trips and found them to be well organised and fair value. Try the mountain biking - it was brillian.

When we went on ov1 the entertainment was great both times - (and i think the program is the same as ov1 for ov2) so i think youll enjoy it. Never been 2 caribbean so dont know about trips.

The shows are fantastic. I am sure you will enjoy them. The trips are a complete rip off. Do your own thing. Walk down the gang plank and hire your own taxi. You get to say how long you will stay in one place, not the cruise guide! Enjoy your cruise. Coli.

You may expect them but you will not get them! We were on O.V.2 in May and thought the entertainment was pretty awful. However, it wasn't a Caribbean trip so maybe that will make a difference, who knows.

The shows aboard Island Star are well put together & enjoyable productions. The cruise director on my last trip was an american and was very good.

We have been on the Ocean Village 4 times and January is our fifth. The shows are fine. Some of the trips are worth booking on board such as river tubing and other specialised trips. If you just want to go round the island and a beach pick up a taxi, you don't get ripped off. We even got a friendly taxi driver take us round Brian Lara's house when in Trinidad. We have never not been picked up from a beach in 8 years.

As many other people have said it's best to jump in a local taxi and let them show you round but be sure to AGREE A PRICE FIRST and stick to it or barter them down if you think its a bit steep. Shows are great and professional.
