Wow you lucky things, You will really be looked after in a penthouse, Have not personally stayed in one but on our holiday last May, made friends with a couple that did who often invited us up there. Yes he had his own lap top, Tele in seperate bedroom even in bathroom. I did put some photo's on this site. if you type in Norwegian Jade they should come up. You will have your own pool etc. I am quite envious of you. Have a great time.

I wish we were in the courtyard villas with the own-pool area! no, we're just a grade up from the mini-suites but get a few perks such as a wider-choice room service menu, access to cagneys for breakfast and lunch, butler, etc.

My better half has corrected me and we're on Deck 8 at the back (aft? it's all new to me!), but if anyone has taken and used their laptops aft on decks 8 9 or 10 i'm guessing I would get a wifi signal from deck 8. any experience of wifi would be appreciated as i'm two minds whether to bother taking the laptop (not for security worries as i have a small travel laptop that fits in hotel safes) but just the additional weight to carry around along with clothing, shoes, toiletries, the kitchen sink, etc, etc.

Hi again Mr Lewis, We were on Deck 9 and there was no where to plug lap top into, I could be wrong but, don't think so. Do hope someone else can rightly answer your question, sorry to have wasted your time. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Sally.

Hi Sally, Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!! and thanks for your assistance but i was hoping to connect wirelessly to the wifi, not through a cable, whether there is a plug/ethernet cable socket or not. If anyone reading this question has actual experience of connecting through ncl wifi on jade on deck 8 (aft?) would be grateful for the feedback (although I'm beginning to think "stuff the laptop" and have a relaxing holiday!!).

Oh Dear, why not forget your Laptop, you are on holiday and want and more than likely need a holiday taking a laptop with you is not a holiday . I left mine at home and hy husband gave a sign of relief when I ignored the Internet room on Ventura. Why keep in touch with reality a holiday is for enjoying yourself and forgetting any worries back home. So Leave it at home!!!

Hi there think we can help here. We were on the Gem in a penthouse and like all NCL ships I connected wirelessly to thier internet without any problems. You should buy an airtime package on embarkation. In fact you can connect anywhwere on the ship from the dining rooms to the swimming pools. We have been on all the jewel class ships and no problems. Mind you i should take a broadband card for europe you may find it cheaper than NCL if the pound weakens any more!! Merry Xmas .
