You cannot "look out of place" on the Jade because it is not a ship where one is judged on apparel. The whole point is to be yourself and wear whatever fits your lifestyle. I enjoyed dressing up in certain "speciality" restaurants, as did other cruisers. The Grand Pacific has a certain dress code, so you can happily dress to the nines every night in there if you prefer! Enjoy! Jo.

Hi there, Having recently returned from the Jade, i can confidently say you wont feel out of place. Quite a few people wore them on our cruise. As there are no formal nights as such, its up to you when you wear it. It is nice to see people making the effort and dressing up and to be fair you do get quite a few comments from the more relaxed people saying how nice it is to see people in there tuxedo. Hope this helps .

Hi There. We were on The Gem in October & cruised the Med. Fantastic!! Everything aboiut the ship was wonderful & because it's so relaxed you can just about wear anything. We ladies got "dressed up" a couple of nights & "our men" did take casual jackets with them which they did wear just one night when we all had our phots done which were very good indeed. Our favouite restaurant was "cagneys" which alovely feel about it & the staff were great. Have a great time as we certainly did & this was my first cruise. Been all over the world but i now just love to cruise. 50-68 year old age group.

You would most definitely be out of place on any NCL cruise dressed in a tuxedo or even a suit. Most of the time people live in jeans, jeans and jeans even for dinner in the evening. NCL is an American styled ship and it is the most casual, laid back ships I have every been on! Enjoy it for what it is. Just dress down and down!
