This is the answer which I gave a couple of days ago and should answer your query: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia , Lithuania and Britain all have their own currency but all except Britain will accept Euros (Exception M & S) although you can expect sometimes to get their own currency in exchange It is hard to get roubles outside Russia and it is best to take good condition US dollars or Euro notes to change once there. It is illegal to pay for goods or services in hard currency, though it is often accepted. Generally speaking with a wallet full of Euros and US Dollars you can travel and pay for things all over the world. Providing you stay with your credit card, don’t let them take it away into the back, it can be useful to use that for purchases and if you use a Nationwide card the exchange rate is excellent….regards Neil .

Unless you are actually using a Russian tour company Roubles are a nuisance. Even then you do not use them frequently enough to warrant changing hard currency...Nei.

My holiday on Celebrity Reflection… What was the entertainment like? Well there is of course the bars and lounges but this ship had something special…….Silent Disco – Now ive got to say i haven’t been to a disco since 1985, so I would imagine a lot has changed over the years and to my amazement we had the Silent Disco, actually the ship arranged two of them, one on the top sun deck and one in the Solarium, which was by day a tranquil place to snooze, swim or try ...
