I haven't been on this ship but have had both an outside cabin with balcony and a suite on other ships. I prefer the suite just because you get so much more room, a seperate lounge area to sit and relax in, loads more wardrobe space, a much bigger bathroom with a bath instead of just a shower. I prefer the suite for longer duration cruises as I sometimes find the outside cabin slightly claustrophobic. The one disadvantage that I found of the suite was that on the ship I was on, they were all located on the top deck at the front, so when the weather got rough a couple of times, we felt it far worse in our cabin. As far as whether it is worth it or not, look at what the differences in facilities and cabin sizes and decide whether you want to pay the extra to get it. Hope this help.

If its just the two of you I would say no. Save the money and book some nice excursions instead. We booked a mini suite on our first cruise and to be honest I wish we had used the money elsewhere. Also depends on how much time you plan to spend in the room.
