My parents are on this cruise at the minute and Im getting regular texts each day!! They are loving every minute of it - absolute paradise apparently! Flight from Glasgow to Barbados was fantastic, arrived on time and surprisingly there was loads of legroom (with Monarch!) Wide variety of excursions and been told it is very, very hot! They have been able to check in on board ship for their return flight (baggage does not get weighed and they arranged this on about day 5 of their cruise) which is fantastic as no stress about standing to check in at Barbados or pay excess baggage charges. Food still good as per previous island cruises they have been on. They dont want to come home!! Hope this helps!

Thanks for this - I am sure many of us were worrying that since the announced change of ownership there might have been a change to the atmosphere / attitude to customer care amongst the crew. Also being a new itinerary that the organisation / information available might not be a good as for the Med. Bring on the sunshine !!

No probs, they have told me excursions are excellent and the favourite destination so far is Isla Catalina (which they were at y'day+did a beach BBQ) From what I can gather going back on a med cruise will be disappointing from now on!!

The island star hasn't returned from its 1st Caribbean cruise yet, the first passengers won't back in UK until 12th december, hopefully we will get some reviews from them then.
