We have just had a holiday on escape and did not experience any noise at all. Just sorry we will not be able to use this ship after next year. Its a blow. You will enjoy, although she is a little tired had a fantastic time. If you have Guy Lockwood as Captain he is brill. Do the navigate with the Captain was highlight to holiday. £15 including photo.

You might well be right but, I tried to search for a holiday on her for Nov next year and think I am right in saying she is going to go to the Thompson line. Anyway I could not book with her. Would be interested on your thoughts.

Travelsphere (part of the Page and Moy Group) are advertizing a Majorca to Brazil cruise with Island Cruises aboard the Escape from Tues 17 Nov 09 to Mon 7 Dec 09 (20 nights) from £999. On the phone this evening they gave no indication this would not be taking place. (Holiday Ref OIBMB - Travelsphere Extra Brochure October 2008 edition). Now I'm confused !!

Es we had a good time and Captain Guy was fantastic. Island Escape is an ugly duckling from the outside but it is a friendly ship on the inside .

Middle East! Get Your Act Together!

By Freddie Moser

With all of the conflict happening in various parts of the Middle East, I can’t help thinking that they are missing out on a huge financial boost from tourism.Look at the success of places like Dubai, a haven in the middle of some of the most dangerous countries in the world right now. A place I have travelled to twice, both on a cruise, and as a holiday destination. It oozes quality, and has amazing weather to boot. But to the immediate North of Dubai, sits Iran, which shares its border...

Silversea was not meant to be!

By Barbara Hopley

Barbara Hopley's blog

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises. We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.I had been looking forward to seeing this ship as have never seen a Silversea ship, it had been booked for a few weeks and I made my arrangements at home ...
