Taylor - Answered a Question by Ann (02 Sep 08 21:32)

As ear plugs weigh virtually zero and take up no space, why not just take them anyway?

Mr/Mrs Taylor, as I take practically everything on a cruise including the kitchen sink, I would be happy to leave ear plugs at home if not necessary but thank you for your non answer as to the noise of the ship. Mr/Mrs Ward I do thank you for your sensible answer.

Not sure about mid ship on Bronze. You may be ok as your cabin is in the middle. We sailed on Star on Coral deck aft and the noise was horrendous early morning. Keith.

Did not stay on Bronze deck, but did stay midship outside cabin on Coral deck which is 1 deck higher and didn't notice any noise - certainly didn't need ear plugs.

Cheers McGuire,We would have gone higher if poss. but all cabins for 3 people and balconys are full. This is a last minute decision to take a well earned rest.So had to take this deck. Thanks also to Greenway, Bridgend.

Middle East! Get Your Act Together!

By Freddie Moser

With all of the conflict happening in various parts of the Middle East, I can’t help thinking that they are missing out on a huge financial boost from tourism.Look at the success of places like Dubai, a haven in the middle of some of the most dangerous countries in the world right now. A place I have travelled to twice, both on a cruise, and as a holiday destination. It oozes quality, and has amazing weather to boot. But to the immediate North of Dubai, sits Iran, which shares its border...

Silversea was not meant to be!

By Barbara Hopley

Barbara Hopley's blog

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises. We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.I had been looking forward to seeing this ship as have never seen a Silversea ship, it had been booked for a few weeks and I made my arrangements at home ...
