Yes they will launder and iron for yo.
I don't know about laundry sorry. They do have hairdryers, however they are slow, so I suggest you take your roller (no ones gonna see you) this helps to lift your hair and also if you straighten, take gas ones as lots of ladies complained the voltage was not high enought to heat them. Hope this help.
They do have laundry facilities, where you just leave in a bag what you want washed, and the maid takes it away, they also do ironing. they leave a proce list in your cabin.
as for irons you can get them from recpetion
have a great cruise
say hello to ross and the entertainers for me
There are no self-service laundry or ironing facilities on Island Escape you have to pay a deposit for a hairdryer. The P&O liners are the only cruise ships that I have personally cruised that have self-service laundry/ironing facilities if you require them.
I called and spoke with someone from Island and they said that hairdryers are on a first come, first serve basis and you get them once you board the ship. As far as ironing goes, I understand they have a laundry service so they may iron also. It is best if you call them directly and ask.
Guests are not permitted to take irons onboard the Island Escape due to safety issues. However, if you have anything you would like laundering, simply hand your items to your cabin steward who will be more than happy to clean and press them - and at a very reasonable price!
Unfortunately, hairdryers do not come as standard onboard the Island Escape, however you can hire them for a small fee but they are subject to availability. It may be an idea to pack your own (just in case) - and don't forget that your adaptor is the US 2 pin style.... happy sailing...
You need to check with islad as we went in March 07 and our hairdryer was in the bathroom, but williams, Saxilby said they don't come as standard, so lille confused here. Maybe it depends on the type of cabin.
Just returned from week on Island Escape, it was fantastic. There are laundry facilities on board for a charge. You can hire a hairdryer for a refundable £20 deposit. I got one on the first night and returned it on the last night with no problem at all. Hope you enjoy your trip, I am very jealous as would love to be going again.
