We were on Island Escape in August and were upgaded to a balcony room. It was below the beachcomber restaurant at the back of the ship. Whilst we were in the room we heard very little outside noise only the engines at night. Even on the balcony we didn't really notice any noise from the busy restaurant above. I think you will have a wonderful time on this ship.
Hi how did you get upgraded?
We were in a Grand suite on the Voyager of the Seas. We did have noise from the deck above with deck chairs being moved and at night time when they were put back in place. It was only minimal but annoying if you wanted a lie in bed.
I have boked the grand suite on island escape for this august can any one tell me anything about it.
WE have just come back from a cruise in the grand suite. Superb - cabin was large and spacious and allowed you to escape all the morons on the boat that just wanted to get drunk!!! The balcony had sun on it every afternoon and that is where we were. Very comfortable large jacuzzi and separate shower - king size double bed, large walk in wardrobe - enough hangers for all clothes even though there are several drawers - not needed. large dining/loung with a walk be hind bar. Drinks were free except for the spirits but it is only a short walk to the bar on the next deck so ideal to take your drinks back to the room. Food good - oasis restaurant is worth trying for one night but the dining room on deck 6 is more than adequate. Great Entertainment and very clean throughout.
