Hi there We did the same cruise last year and are experienced travellers. We took little money and no jewellery ashore while in Brazil. We heard quite a few horror stories when we got back, several people were robbed, not hurt but threatened, So try to find someone to go ashore with or travel light and carry just a bit of cash for water etc. Don't let this spoil your cruise just be sensible they are very poor.

Hi we did the brazil to pa;ma cruise on the island escape in march this year, but have also been on island star, i love both ships. We did trips in brazil and they were all very good and we felt extremely safe. We are actually doing it again this november byt from spain to brazil, and were staying in rio hotel for 4 days at end of it. island cruises are very good, im sure you will enjoy it. the trips are quite expensive but its safer then doing it on your own and you se things you wouldnt see on your own. if you go to recife, id reccomend the jeep safari. have a great tim.

Me, my husband and my two children have just returned from a long weekend away in Southampton and on the Celebrity EclipseThe cruise was only two nights so I though to extend our little holiday by spending two nights in Southampton before the sailing and take them to a theme park. So we took them to Poulton Park which I highly recommend to families with young children. Great for 2 years old and up to the age of 6 yrs. Here we saw Peppa pig at Peppa pig’s world where all the themed attra...

‘Most have heard of the M1 , that long South-North motorway that connects London to Leeds, but did you know that on a cruise ship they have ther very own “M1”. This is the central busy hub under the passenger decks which cruise members use to make their way round the ship, and on our recent trip on the brand New Majestic Princess we were welcomed to the M1 for an exclusive www.CRUISE.co.uk tour. This eye opening tour was simply mind boogling the amount of people down their...

This trip will be what Fred Olsen are known for, based on the Norwegian heritage they say nobody does the Fjords better than Fred!Being a 26 year old cheap means I am certainly not a typical Fred Olsen guest, they tend to attract an ...
