I agree - this is a good price. It is worth pointing out though that many travel insurance policies (and indeed, Saga's) have a limit for holiday cancellation cover of £5,000 per person. This is undoubtedly more than enough for most trips however, as you know many luxury cruise holidays exceed this figure in which case you should ensure that you have a specialist policy.
A great deal of emphasis is placed upon the cost of insurance these days rather than the cover, however for things such as travel insurance for high cost holidays it is my advice that you use a local insurance broker to find you the right policy IN ADDITION to the right price. Insurance brokers have "insurance-trained" staff rather than "sales-trained" and are therefore able to select a policy to fit your requirements using the benefit of their knowledge and expertise. They are often "salaried" and are therefore not bound by the desire to sell you a policy at all costs simply to earn a commission.
I hope that this information is useful. Happy Cruising .
Bare in mine that is if you are thinking of cruising in the Caribbean, even going from Jamica or Barbados, this will come under America, Sage quoted us £1400 + to cover my husband, got cheaper elsewher.
WORLDWIDE COVER USUALLY INCLUDES aMERICA . .it is hardly worldwide if it excludes such a huge area of the world. Not being a UK resident, we have great problems getting good insurance, but the sage one sounds very cheap if it takes into account a pre existing condition . .
Try the PO travel mine was £24 for a 10 day cruise for this Nov.
