Neil Down - Answered a Question by Hall (10 Sep 07 16:38)

Why would you want your own drinking water when there is good quality water in abundance onboard. There are many reasons why they might be refuse to allow liquid to be brought on and with security a priority I can think of several reasons there along with many other reasons. The ship has the right to have its own rules and if you don't like them find another cruise line. Sorry but you will have no support from me, I cruise 3 to 4 times a year and I don't want my safety jeopardised....Neil Dow.

I agree with neil I think safety should be first priority and I understand how you feel about someone telling you what you should and should not do but realistically why worry about a bottle of water I think this has more to do with people smuggling alcohol on board as friends of ours used to take gin back on board in bottles that where supposed to have water in them I guess too many people have tried this and got caught.go all inclusive and you won't need to worry.

If I was you I'd cancel Now! With that attitude there is no way you will enjoy it! Are you going to let a bottle of water wreck a great time! We have been on this ship. Yes they discourage you taking on board your own alcahol but could you take your own drink into the pub with you back at home even if it was water? We went on this ship and it was great, water is drinkable in the cabin and there is tea, coffee and water available 24 hours in one of the restaurants. Please dont judge this cruise before you have been as we found it a very happy ship with wonderful staff and crew. Open your mind and just enjoy.

There are refreshments on board, including water. Don't let this spoil your holds, this is a super ship and we had a fab holiday this Easter with them. The crew and staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. We must remeber the airport allert 2006 (think thats the date) when someone tried to take a bomb on board, it was liquid they were trying to get onto the aircraft!!!! If im not mistaken. Also hygene is very important, its not just your ship, they have to be very careful for others comfort and safety.
