It makes no difference which side we had balcony on our last cruise & i could'nt wait to sit out on it but to be honest we hardly ebver sat out duing the day time as there was to much to see, the only time i did use it was to watch the nighht sky or waiting for my nails to dry buy it was great having that extra place to sit & watch the world go by.

Your doing a round trip, a loop, so it makes no odds & the sun is so high in the sky you need not worry about sunshine. The only time this has an impact is on long east/west transatlantic crossings.......Wilba.
