No but I did Alaska with them in May this year on the Statendam, and it was terrific, seeing them against the other cruise liners I knew we were definitely with the right company. I would love to cruise with them again especially on the one you are planning, let me know how you get on, if you go.

We did the Rio to Valparaiso cruise on Rotterdam from 28th Jan this year (same trip). Holland America ships are excellent and not crowded (they have fewer passengers for the size of ship than many other cruise lines). You will not be disappointed. It is an excellent cruise but the weather was very mixed when we went with some rain and mist particularly down south, perhaps we were unlucky. One problem was that we did not get in to the Falkland Islands due to the choppy sea which made tendering difficult. It appears that only one cruise in five manages it so don't count on getting there! One tip: If you have not yet arranged your transfer from Valparaiso to Santiago don't book it through Holland America who are very expensive. You can arrange a taxi at the desk in the terminal when you disembark and if you can share with others in a minibus it is even cheaper. You can also have arrange to have a tour on the way at the same time. Hope this helps - have a great time.
