Q: My wife and I will be going for our first cruise with Olland America in march 2013 to celebrate our GOLDEN Wedding,we have done 25 or so long cruise with Princess,Costa and RCI and enjoyed dancing after the show in the evening,the type of dancing where you hold the lady in your arms,will this be available on Noordam,and if so,location,

I USED THE NOORDAM IN THE CARIBBEAN IN 2010. ALTHOUGH DANCING IS LIMITED BY THE SIZE OF THE FLOORS AND THE RIGID SONG BOOKS THAT THE BANDS USE, WE DANCED ALMOST EVERY NIGHT EITHER IN THE CULINARY ARTS CENTRE, THE OCEAN BAR OR THE CROWS NEST. ALTHOUGH I SAID THAT THE DANCING WAS LIMITED, MOSTLY CHA CHA AND RUMBA, WE REALLY ENJOYED THIS WONDERFUL SHIP. THE CAPTAIN IS POSSIBLY THE MOST ATTENTIVE AFLOAT, AND A REALLY NICE GUY.

On The Amsterdam, cruising round S America 3 years ago, we had a great dance band. They played dance favourites through the decades every night. So we waltzed, cha-chaed and bopped and jived from Rio to Santiago via Cape Horn. Great fun. If I remember correctly the band was Phillipino and the lead singer, a lady, had a great voice and great style. V enjoyable.

We went on a big band cruise on Holland America Nordam with the NICK ROSS ORCHESTRA. It was fabulous, dancing every night to a big band was fantastic. The Americans on board thought the band was great. But apparently they do no do these cruises now. Shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would look at Cunard if you want Ballroom, Latin and Sequence Dancing

I agree,if you are wanting ballroom,latin and sequence dancing then Cunard would be your best choice by far.
