Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by paul (21 Oct 08 20:33)

Qantas are being very mean aren't they. It has always been a problem but this is squeezing it too far. Anyway, I would suggest that you take items of clothing that you can "mix and match" you know what I mean with skirts slacks and tops that go well with each other but look different when swapped with another item and for him a tie change can say, look I'm wearing something totally different. Take a minimum amount of day time wear because they wash out easily as do smalls and you will no doubt buy the odd T shirt ( I don't mean an odd looking T shirt, or maybe I do) and if you are able treat yourself to a nice new top then leave an old one behind. Take as few shoes as you can and wear your heaviest on the plane whatever, in fact we always put a couple of heavy pairs in our hand luggage. And finally don't worry too much as there will be loads of others in the same predicament as you or to put it another way "in the same boat as you" just commiserate with the others and realise that at least you put more thought into it than they did. All the best. ..... Ida.

Thank's Ida. I am going to be ruthless as possible and pack only what I need. As you said I can always get things washed at the laundrette.

We saw her circling...
