We were onboard the Balmoral in November on the 28 day transatlantic cruise to/from the Caribbean and had a couple in our group who were renewing their marriage vows after 57 years. The captain performed the cermony , assisted by the cruise director...it was lovely. So to answer the question, I am not sure about an official marriage ceremony, but if you wanted to renew your marriage vows, I believe this can be arranged.

I can just imagine Johan Dyrnes officiating. Could be the best thing since four weddings! He's a real sport but I don't think this is in his job description.

Some cruise lines- such as Princess and P&O have a licence to officiate weddings. I was recently married by the captain on the Sea Princess- dont know if Fred Olsen has licence.

The much-missed Arne Solberg would have done a good job. Thor Fletten too!

My USA Trip Part 2 Bellingham

By Collette Apak

After an extremely long day travelling and full of lovely seafood from our meal we arrived in the city of Bellingham. The place certainly didn’t feel like a city and had a very New England feel to it. It’s made up of different suburbs, the most notable one being Fairhaven with it’s old world charm. Our hotel for the night was the beautiful Bellwether Hotel. We each had our own huge suite decorated in traditional style complete with everything you could want during your stay i...

MUSICAS PORTS OF CALL.

By Nicola Milligan

Last time I told you all about the ship so this week we will talk about the reason we actually chose this cruise, it’s itinerary. I have been to Venice a few times now but the sail away never loses it’s excitement for me. When standing on deck I still get goose bumps as this massive ship glides slowly past all the major sights of this charming city. So close you can see into windows and see the faces of the lovers sailing on the romantic Gondola rides. It is unbelievable at how c...
