Oh come on! We are many things but not mind readers. Give us a teeny little clue and we will all do our best to help you---but the crystal ball has been mislaid just at present!

You can expect plenty of rain, sometimes torrential (a bit like the UK at present!!) with temperatures around 12 - 15 c during the daytime. If it's early September then expect it to be a bit better than this. I suggest walking type of shoes/boots which can cope with water and dry out fairly quickly. Even if it isn't wet they are good for general walking in the countryside areas and tours up to glaciers etc! It depends what you want to do. Similarly, outer clothes should suit these conditions. A thermal fleece would be good for when out on deck as the speed of the ship can make the air feel quite cool. I'm not too sure about night time temperatures but the west coast of Norway does benefit from the Gulf Stream which may help a bit. Hope this helps.

I would dress in layers which you can easily remove(well, not all of them maybe!) because the weather can change quite quickly. You may set off on an excursion in damp chilly weather and then find it turns out to be a really hot day. Equally you may find as we did on the Flaam railway trip that a fine warm morning may have become snowy when you are on higher ground! It's fantastic cruising territory; have a wonderful time.Cynthia.

By Jodie Baldwin

My last blog was about my partner actually taking his first cruise . My blog today has been done by Mike who tells us about his first cruise experience. Today is part 1 with part 2 to follow next time. Here goes! The idea of a cruise never really ‘floated my boat’. Hundreds actually thousands of people lumped onto a vessel, fighting for space and corralled for a least a week . No- not for me. On the other hand , if your partner is employed by one of the largest cruise travel agenci...

Well I am back from my Italian holiday and I paid a visit to Trento, the capital city of Trentino Alto Adige in the north of Italy nestled between the Alps. The drive to Trento was lovely and the view driving through by car was amazing, we were surrounded my mountain by their white tips all the way there. Verona to Trento is about 1 hour and there are good train connections. We visited an Aeronautical museum of Giovan Battista Caproni, one of the most important engineers of Aeroplane’s h...

Ive had a great time!...

Sam Smith's blog

It seems to me these days that people spend so much time moaning and whingeing about this and that, nothing works like it should and nothing is ever good enough, I thought it nice to share the thoughts of this refreshingly positive chap recently stranded on the NCL Star out in Australia.Francis Lahue and his wife were passengers of the Norwegian Star as it faced engine problems last Friday morning after leaving port. The luxury cruise ship was forced to bob without direction 30km off the coas...
