Southern Norway like the start of our spring snow still on the tops of the mountains not to cold waterproof coat advisable northern cape much colder and windy excellent choice for 1st cruise fantastic scenery still light at midnight you will love it.

Our first cruise was with Fred Olsen also on board the BP to the Norwegian fjords in May 2002. Apart from a couple of over cast days the weather was superb but I guess it's the luck of the draw. Generally though, the weather in Norway will be similar to the UK at that time of year. Being in East Calder you'll be sailing from Greenock I guess? Since 2002 we've sailed with Fred Olsen 4 times (3 times on the Black Prince and once on the Braemar). All our cruises have departed from Leith which is handy for us since we live just along the road from the cruise liner terminal. The BP is a small ship but very friendly. You'll have a great time. I'm jealous!
