Many cruise lines host a masquerade ball- and also offer beforehand a craft class making quite glamourous masks- feathers and sequins etc provided.

Having just come off QM2 there is no need to buy a mask. The ball is held in the Queens room, it was also a formal night. Have a lovely cruise. Nice shi.

When we went on QM2 there was an Ascot night and I went to the expense of buying a hat. It was a complete waste, as we were on late seating for dinner and the hat parade had finished by the time we got to the party. The winner was a hat that was made on board with bits of paper and string!

Hi, we were on board in May, as previous answers say you dont need a mask and they are i thought a bit expensive for what you get, mens were quite basic burglar bill eye masks at I think $5 ladies were a bit more feathry and up to $20, it was lovely on board whatever was happening you will have an excellent time.

Just got back from QM2. Mens masks are on sale on the day of the ball for $2. Nice ladies ones are $10. However many the majority of people dont bother with a mask. Pity! The QM is a great ship enjoy yourselves.
