Louis Cruise are a Greek line who operate mainly the Greek Islands. They also 'rent out boats' namely Destiny & Calypso to Thomson. Their safety record over the past few years is not the best with the total loss of Sea Diamond off Santorini (with fatalities) & a crunch with the pier at Heraklion a year later. The word bargepole comes to mind at the very thought.......Wilba.

Thank you Wilba for that information. Marco Polo also had some safety issues which no one on the Caribbean Cruise has mentioned in their reviews. When the lifeboats were needed as tenders, one had many problems being lowered into the sea. We also saw fuel being called for and on the occasion we were about to board one, there was a delay as it was taking in water. We also heard one broke down on route. Whether these were separate incidents or all the same lifeboat I could not say. Except the one they were unable to lower into the sea, number nine, .was our lifeboat if there had been an emergency !

Marco Polo under Transocean Tours has no connection with Louis Cruise Lines.

I stayed at the Marriot Courtyard Miami Beach South Beach which was in an ideal location for an overnight stay. ...

Until this year very few cruise lines have been allowed to call in to Cuba, but after a warming of relations since the Cold War a recent political agreement between Cuba and the U.S. means that this is all about to change. Airlines and cruise lines from the U.S. have been granted permission to transport passengers in to Cuba and the Cuban Tourism ministry are expecting around a 30% increase in visitors in 2017 alone. As MSC, Thomson and Fred Olsen have been sailing to Cuba for a few years, we ...

I was shocked at the end of last week when I started to hear reports that The River Cruise Line could cease trading.I have personally sailed with The River Cruise Line in the past and had a great experience doing so. I think that they offer very good value for money and offer a product that can cost a lot less to book than some of their more luxurious rivals.Unfortunately Diamond Shortbreak Holidays Ltd who were the parent company of The River Cruise Line announced that they had to go i...
